Nina Fedotova

Nina Fedotova

Born and based in Uman, Cherkasy region, Ukraine. I paint in oil and have been exhibiting since 2018. Member of the ART Uman artists association.

I am working on the series “Life from a Different Angle” — an attempt to rethink the reality we live in through the lens of surrealism, minimalism and conceptual painting. The bright, saturated colours of my canvases are a way of psychologically resisting the war in Ukraine, the stress and tension we all face.

My goal is not simply to give the viewer a painting to reflect on, but to create a platform for discussing difficult subjects: how we perceive the world around us — and how we can change it.

Education: MA in Fine Arts; degree in Accounting and Audit.
